The Manx Wildlife Trust buys around 5 acres of land adjacent to Goshen Nature Reserve in Ballaugh.

Benny, who was more than 12 years old, was one of two fishing cats at the Curraghs Wildlife Park.

The law, passed on the Isle of Man on Tuesday, is named after Daniel Taylor who died in 2003.

The maintenance works are being carried out on part of the A3 Castletown Road from Malew to German.
