The Isle of Man’s bid to host the Island Games in 2029 wins unanimous backing from International Island Games Association members.

The huge fire, at what was then Europe’s largest indoor entertainment complex, killed 50 people.

The assessment is designed to help firms strengthen policies to safeguard against criminal activity.

The RNLI confirms it will replace its current vessel in Douglas by the spring.
