The island’s monopoly gas firm says tariffs will be cut from 14 November but remain under review.

The inspector will report his findings to the government after taking oral and written evidence.

It follows complaints about people talking through performances at the Villa Marina in the summer.

A series of regional public meetings will see government ministers engage with the public.
