Plans for a sexual assault referral centre on the Isle of Man are progressing, the government says.

The men’s and women’s Manx football teams are aiming for the top spot at the Guernsey Island Games.

A special ceremony is being held to mark the start of construction work on a dedicated centre.

The work aims to highlight an era that “tends to slip between the cracks of historical writing”.
