Phonebooks will no longer be mass distributed to households across the Isle of Man from next year.

An activity day based on Douglas beach will take place this July to replace the capital’s carnival.

The plans would see an old stable block at the 200-year-old estate replace with lettable units.

The lower section St Georges Street in Douglas is made one-way in the direction of Athol Street.
