The seating provided by a takeaway owner must make way for new furniture, the local authority says.

Laxey Commissioners reject a call for a cafe’s seating to remain in place after the refurbishment.

The programme was suspended by Manx Care in 2023 due to the increased cost of a new product.

Organises say they were unable to secure the cover needed to meet health and safety requirements.
